Job summary

Digital Executive is seeking a fully remote MCA Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for a US-based Merchant Cash Advance company. You will handle full-cycle accounting, including bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close under the CFO.

English proficiency and attention to detail are essential. The role emphasizes accurate recording of MCA transactions, receivables, and funding activities, with strict deadlines and confidential data handling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience in full-cycle environments.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience in MCA, alternative lending, factoring, or commercial finance preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online for journal entries and reporting.
• Knowledge of receivables, payment allocation, and financial transactions.
• Experience preparing financial statements (P&L, balance sheets).
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills with large datasets.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Extremely detail-oriented, independent, and discreet with confidential data.
• Must own a working computer with reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting operations using QuickBooks Online.
• Prepare and post journal entries for funding transactions, merchant payments, fees, and expenses.
• Complete the monthly accounting close with adjusting entries and profit recognition.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger, balance sheet, and fee income accounts.
• Monitor merchant payments, deposits, and ACH transactions; allocate to merchant accounts.
• Reconcile merchant balances, purchased receivables, and MCA portfolios with Salesforce.
• Accurately allocate payments and management fees across syndicators.
• Maintain records of outstanding receivables, funding transactions, and activity.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support CFO with reporting.
• Handle UCC lien filing administration and tracking as needed.
• Monitor activity across QuickBooks and Salesforce; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents.
• Proactively identify discrepancies and escalate to CFO when needed.
• Take ownership of daily and monthly entries and ensure timeliness.
