Scale Up Recruiting Partners is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support reporting for a portfolio of North American clients. This is a remote contractor role with a long-term commitment.

Core hours align with Mountain Time, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but there is flexibility for scheduling around client needs. You'll supervise bookkeepers, handle GL, AP/AR, payroll support, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting, while adapting to AI-enabled workflows.

Formación

• Degree or formal post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• At least 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with U.S. and/or Canadian companies or clients.
• Hands-on professional experience with both QuickBooks Online and Xero.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Able to manage multiple clients, entities, and priorities simultaneously.
• Advanced professional English, with confident verbal and written communication.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records across multiple client accounts.
• Process accounts payable and receivables.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
• Manage general ledger accounts.
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and statements.
• Review financial information and KPIs to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential issues.
• Review and oversee the work of bookkeepers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Represent the company in client meetings, gradually taking on more client-facing responsibilities as you become familiar with each account.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• File and maintain financial documents.
• Assist with audits and tax preparations, including preparing accurate records and supporting documentation for external CPAs.
• Work with AI-enabled and automated accounting workflows, reviewing outputs and adapting to new processes and technologies.
