Job summary

QualityAI is seeking a QA Engineer to join our growing team in Argentina. This role focuses on manual testing to ensure software quality and reliability across projects, with a strong emphasis on learning applications quickly and working collaboratively in an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of manual testing experience, a solid grasp of testing methodologies, and keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manual Tester or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and execute test scripts based on project User Stories and Acceptance Criteria and specifications.
• Identify and document software defects and retest defects once fixed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and timely issue resolution.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that software changes and updates do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
• Ramp up on business application knowledge quickly
• Provide input into the design and improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Identify and test edge cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage and uncover potential issues that may not be captured by the acceptance criteria alone.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to gain clarity on User Stories and gather additional information to enhance the testing process.
• Proactively communicate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and gather feedback on test cases, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and backlog refinement, to contribute to the refinement and improvement of User Stories.
• Ability to locate the necessary test data, and/or create new or modify existing data.
