AgileEngine is seeking aDatabase Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases, collaborating closely with engineering teams. This hands-on DBA role focuses on administration, performance, security, and reliability rather than data engineering.

The role requires 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience, proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, and strong scripting (PowerShell or Python), Terraform, and Kafka expertise.

Formación

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, especially RDS and Aurora.
• Programming experience with PowerShell or Python.
• IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with high-availability production systems.
• Disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and optimize performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Ensure security and access control of databases.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on system design and optimization.
• Hands-on administration of critical data systems supporting the website.
• Remain composed under pressure in a technical environment.
