AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases, collaborating with engineering teams. This hands-on DBA role focuses on DB administration, performance, security, and reliability—not Data Engineering.

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS and Aurora.
• PowerShell or Python programming.
• IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience working with engineering teams under tight deadlines.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for disaster recovery with zero data loss in case of disaster.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose difficult performance issues.
• Work closely with engineers on system design, performance tuning and technical support.
• Operate hands-on in an extremely technical environment, administering the data systems that support the website.
• Stay composed under pressure and navigate extremely stressful situations.
