AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases, collaborating closely with engineering teams. The role focuses on database administration, performance, security, and reliability, not data engineering.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience, with MS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, PowerShell or Python, Terraform, Confluent Kafka, AWS RDS/Aurora, and upper-intermediate English.

Formación

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, especially RDS and Aurora.
• Programming experience with PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka) and administration/troubleshooting.
• Extensive performance analysis and tuning experience.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and ensure strong performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Ensure database security including access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose complex issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design reviews and support.
• Operate hands-on in a highly technical environment supporting data systems.
• Stay composed under pressure in demanding situations.
