Job summary
Bitfinex is seeking a Transaction Monitoring Investigator to safeguard the integrity of our platform by identifying and mitigating financial crime risks across fiat and crypto transactions. You will analyze alerts, investigate unusual activity, and escalate high‑risk cases with the Compliance team.
You will work with AML Investigators, Product teams, and leadership to enhance monitoring controls, support regulatory reporting, and help evolve KYC/AML/CTF policies in a fast‑paced fintech
Qualifications
- Experience in the compliance field within the industry.
- Understanding of AML/KYC/CTF policies and regulations.
- Basic knowledge of blockchain technology.
- Experience with blockchain analytics/monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transaction monitoring algorithms to detect AML/TF risks.
- Analyze alerts from fiat and crypto trades to mitigate risk.
- Report periodic analyses to the Chief Compliance Officer.
- Adjust risk parameters and escalate high‑risk cases.
- Participate in compliance training and cross‑department communication.
- Ensure adherence to KYC/AML/CTF and sanctions policies.
