Job summary

Bitfinex seeks a Transaction Monitoring Investigator to safeguard the platform by identifying, investigating, and mitigating financial crime risks across fiat and crypto transactions. You will analyze alerts, collaborate with compliance and product teams, and contribute to regulatory reporting in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Ideal candidates have AML/KYC/CTF experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to risk management in a global remote-friendly setup.

Qualifications

• Experience in the compliance field within the Industry.
• Understanding of AML/KYC/CTF policies, laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transaction monitoring rules to detect AML/CTF risks using a risk-based approach.
• Analyze alerts from fiat and crypto trades, deposits, and withdrawals to mitigate risk and escalate urgent alerts.
• Assist the Manager in building reports identifying ML/TF and sanctions anomalies for leadership.
• Collaborate with AML Analysts, Product teams, and Compliance leadership to improve monitoring controls.
• Ensure adherence to KYC/AML/CTF policies and participate in policy improvements.
