Bitfinex is seeking a Transaction Monitoring Investigator to safeguard compliance across fiat and cryptocurrency transactions. You will analyze alerts, assess unusual activity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate high‑risk cases while supporting regulatory reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of blockchain technology and AML/KYC/CTF regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine transaction monitoring rules and risk-based controls.
Investigate alerts for fiat and crypto transactions to mitigate platform risk.
Prepare periodic reports highlighting AML/TF and sanctions anomalies for leadership.
Collaborate with AML Investigators, Product teams, and Compliance to escalate high-risk cases.
Enhance KYC/AML/CTF and sanctions processes and documentation.
