Job summary

Sezzle LA is seeking a highly capable Chargeback Operations Intern to analyze card and ACH disputes, collaborate with fraud and disputes teams, and help optimize our loss-prevention processes. The position is a paid internship with standard business hours (Mon-Fri 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Central Time).

Qualifications

Experience analyzing data and making decisions in fast-paced environments.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong business judgment and communication skills.
Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.

Responsibilities

Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and take suitable action within the allowed timeframes.
Collaborate with fraud and disputes teams on a case-by-case basis to determine next steps.
Investigate individual transactions using internal policies to identify patterns or trends.
Understand systems and tools; analyze account patterns through data analysis.
Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists and engineering to improve loss prevention mechanisms.
Maintain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
Meet SLAs for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize potential losses.
Handle escalations professionally and efficiently.
Leverage AI tools (Claude or equivalent) to enhance productivity.
