Sezzle LA is seeking a Risk & Disputes Intern to analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with fraud/risk and disputes teams to determine actions on a case-by-case basis, using internal policies to identify patterns and improve processes.

The role is a full-time paid internship, typically Mon–Fri, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time, and may involve leveraging AI tools like Claude to boost research and communication efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed transactions (credit cards, debit cards, ACH) and take action within SLAs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with fraud and disputes teams to determine next steps on each case.
• Analyze transactions using internal policies to identify trends and patterns.
• Understand systems/tools and investigate account patterns through data analysis.
• Work with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to improve loss prevention processes and tools.
• Build knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain or exceed SLAs for timely case resolution and minimize losses.
• Handle escalations professionally with stakeholders.
• Utilize Claude or similar AI tools to enhance productivity, research, and communication.
