Qualifications

• At least 1 year of healthcare administrative or similar role experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with medical terminology.
• Direct experience with ModMed EMR.
• Experience with insurance prior authorizations and follow-up.
• Experience verifying insurance benefits, out-of-network coverage, and procedure codes.
• Preferred experience in plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, aesthetics, dermatology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance prior authorizations from submission through approval.
• Verify insurance eligibility, out-of-network benefits, procedure codes, and coverage requirements.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and administrative tasks within ModMed EMR.
• Provide virtual clinical documentation support during patient visits, entering notes and visit details into ModMed.
• Handle incoming and rollover calls, patient inquiries, and insurance-related concerns in English and Spanish.
• Provide back-up virtual receptionist and front-office support, including appointment coordination and patient communication.
• Educate patients about available aesthetic treatments, skincare products, and wellness services.
• Support patient engagement, lead conversion, and appointment bookings while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams for accurate documentation and efficient workflows.
