Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers in Houston, TX is seeking a role focused on client communication in English and Spanish. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, sending emails and making calls daily to respond to inquiries and gather documents as we manage cases.

You will keep case development on track by following workflows and flagging delays, while proactively communicating with teammates about issues you face to keep work moving forward. A supportive, fast-growing environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing immigration applications is preferred but not required.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm’s main point of contact with clients, supporting attorneys and paralegals in engaging clients throughout the representation.
• Return phone calls and reply to emails from clients and potential clients.
• Provide status updates so clients always understand where their case stands and what comes next.
• Set and manage clear expectations with clients about timelines and what will be required of them at each stage.
• Coordinate case logistics: scheduling appointments, reminders, and follow-ups to keep clients engaged.
• Proactively manage cases to ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain tracking systems to catch clients before they fall through the cracks.
• Compile and submit filings to immigration agencies.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of company protocols and processes.
