Political Asylum Lawyers in Houston is seeking a bilingual professional to be the primary contact for clients, using English and Spanish daily. You will respond to inquiries, gather documents, and guide clients through the case process with empathy and clear communication.

You’ll follow established workflows, flag delays, and coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to move cases forward. A passion for helping immigrants and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing immigration applications is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to helping immigrants secure a future in the United States through asylum.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Tech-focused and eager to learn new online systems and procedures.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic and able to communicate with clients under significant stress.
• Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform at a high level with minimal supervision.
• Able to keep track of tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm's main point of contact with clients, supporting attorneys and paralegals.
• Return calls and reply to emails from clients and potential clients.
• Provide status updates to keep clients informed about case progress.
• Coordinate case logistics, scheduling appointments and reminders.
• Ensure deadlines are met and cases stay on track.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of company protocols.
