Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers is a Houston-based immigration law firm focused on asylum cases. The role requires engaging clients daily in English and Spanish, handling inquiries, and gathering information and documents as cases progress.

You will follow established workflows to keep case development on track, flag delays, and communicate with teammates about any issues. Substantive immigration knowledge is not required, but SOPs for case management and client service must be mastered.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing immigration applications is preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm’s main point of contact with clients, supporting attorneys and paralegals.
• Return phone calls and reply to emails from clients and potential clients.
• Proactively provide status updates so clients understand where their case stands.
• Coordinate case logistics: scheduling appointments and preparation sessions.
• Proactively manage cases to ensure deadlines are met.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of company protocols and processes.
