Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps, while performing manual testing for accuracy. You will build and maintain test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and ensure testability and acceptance criteria with the development team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior and test results.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and releases.
• Work with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
