Job summary

Tether is hiring an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps, while also performing manual and exploratory testing. This role emphasizes building fast, reliable tests, integrating with CI/CD, and collaborating with developers on testability.

Remote work enabled and global impact across fintech products. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO/Appium, and familiarity with Electron/React Native apps, plus AI QA tooling

Qualifications

4+ years in QA automation with manual and exploratory testing.
Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on iOS/Android.
Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
