Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps while performing manual and exploratory testing. You will help integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with product and engineering to enhance testability and quality across features.

Responsibilities include maintaining robust automation, investigating failures, and ensuring reliable test data and environments. Remote, globally distributed team with AI in QA is emphasized.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, with hands-on manual and exploratory testing
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
