Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications. You will build and maintain tests that ensure reliability across platforms and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

You will investigate failures, fix flaky tests, report bugs with clear steps, and collaborate with developers and product teams to optimize testability and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
