Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, combining automation with manual and exploratory testing. You will build Playwright-based desktop/web tests, with WebdriverIO+Appium for mobile, and ensure tests run reliably in CI/CD.

You’ll investigate failures, report bugs, and collaborate with developers on testability and acceptance criteria. Requirements include 4+ years in QA automation, experience with GitHub Actions, and testing Electron/React Native apps on

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual/exploratory testing
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on iOS/Android devices
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered apps is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
