Job summary

Automation QA Engineer at Tether will own desktop and mobile test automation alongside manual testing, ensuring robust release quality. You will collaborate with developers, product, and customer teams to define testability and acceptance criteria, and you’ll optimize coverage across CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, and Appium is required, including testing Electron/React Native apps on real devices. Global remote-friendly role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software QA experience.
• 3+ years of automated testing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts for app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation based on criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance tests.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Log pass/fail conditions and link to bugs.
• Identify risks to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product to ensure quality across SDLC.
• Collaborate with customer teams to incorporate feedback.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort.
• Use GitHub to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
