Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers, a Houston-based immigration law firm, seeks an Accounting & Finance Manager to drive our financial operations and controls as we support clients seeking asylum. You’ll manage billing, trust accounting, forecasting, and financial reporting with a hands-on approach.

You will work closely with leadership from Argentina, contributing to budgeting, cash flow planning, and strategic financial decisions while helping implement process improvements and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years accounting/finance experience, preferably in professional services.
• Experience with trust/IOLTA accounting and reconciliations.
• Experience with billing systems and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations with staff and providers.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and forecasts.
• Oversee trust accounting, compliance, payroll, and tax coordination.
• Improve billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes.
• Support budgeting, cash flow planning, and strategic analysis.
