Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers is seeking an Accounting & Finance Manager (Hands-on) to lead financial operations for a U.S.-based immigration law firm. The role manages accounting, billing, payroll, trust accounting, and tax coordination while building internal controls and reporting to leadership.

Based in Argentina, you will partner with the Owner/CFO and external providers, progressively delegating routine tasks while maintaining accuracy and compliance across finance functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience managing trust/IOLTA accounting and reconciliations.
• Experience with billing systems, client payment plans, collections, and AR management.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations with staff and providers.
• Maintain accounting, billing, A/R, A/P, payroll, trust accounting and tax coordination.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and budgets; forecast cash flow.
• Oversee billing, collections, AR aging, and client inquiries.
• Ensure trust accounting compliance and internal controls.
• Provide analysis to support strategic planning and decisions.
