Job summary

Vivant, a U.S.-based MSP, seeks an Accounting Officer to support accounting, billing, AR/AP, and financial reporting while collaborating with U.S.-based clients and vendors. The role is 100% remote and requires strong accounting fundamentals and excellent communication.

Responsibilities include invoicing accuracy, journal entries, reconciliations, audits, and month-/year-end close. Compensation ranges from $1,500–$1,800 USD monthly, with growth based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in accounting, billing, AR/AP, or similar roles.
• Strong accounting principles and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting software.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Experience supporting US or international clients is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting-related email and phone inquiries from stakeholders.
• Review projects, tickets, and work orders to bill accurately for services.
• Monitor AR and follow up on outstanding balances per policy.
• Review vendor invoices and process AP timely and accurately.
• Coordinate with vendors on payments, billing discrepancies, refunds.
• Ensure timely payments to service providers to avoid disruptions.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain GL, perform reconciliations.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify billing accuracy.
• Create and maintain SOPs, training materials.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and strengthen controls.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support financial reporting and other accounting projects.
