Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation while performing manual testing. You will drive test strategy, maintain regression suites, and ensure quality across product releases in a globally distributed, remote-friendly environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, collaboration with developers and product teams, and leveraging AI-assisted QA tools to improve efficiency and coverage.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation.
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO+Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including real devices.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions and correlate to bugs.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality across SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repos and run custom scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
