Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation and manual testing expertise for desktop and mobile applications. You will build and maintain regression scripts, integrate tests into CI/CD, and document issues with clear steps to reproduce.

You will work across product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and respond to feedback from customer-facing teams. The role emphasizes testing Electron/React Native apps, on real devices, and applying AI-assisted QA techniques.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and manual testing.
• Experience with Gherkin for behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on testing of Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
