GoFundMe seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Payments engineering team in Buenos Aires, hybrid role. You will define multi-year payments strategy, lead architecture, and drive scalable, secure payment systems.

You will mentor engineers, hire top talent, collaborate with product, risk, finance, and operations, and ensure reliability and incident readiness while growing a diverse, high-performance team.

Formación

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on leadership of high-performing teams.
• Background building and operating payments, fintech, or high-scale transactional systems.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and growing engineers at different levels.
• Strong technical judgment guiding architecture of complex distributed systems.
• Understanding of building reliable financial systems: data integrity, resiliency, security, scalability, and operational excellence.

Responsabilidades

• Define and execute GoFundMe's multi-year payments engineering strategy, building scalable and innovative payment capabilities.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for reliable, secure, and scalable payments products and infrastructure.
• Partner with Product Management, Design, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and external partners to improve customer payment experiences.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership, balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability, customer experience, and speed of delivery.
• Lead complex engineering initiatives from conception through launch and iteration with clear goals and risk management.
• Hire, coach, mentor, and develop engineers; foster high performance and ownership.
• Create environments of strong ownership and technical excellence; empower engineers to solve ambiguities.
• Maintain high standards for reliability, observability, security, testing, and incident response across payments systems.
• Collaborate across teams to evolve shared platforms and foundations supporting new products and markets.
• Communicate technical strategy, priorities, and risks clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
