Job summary

GoFundMe in Buenos Aires, Argentina is seeking aManager, Data Platform to lead the team that builds the foundation for all data teams. You will own platform reliability, cost visibility, and scalability, partnering with Data, ML/AI, and Product Engineers, Data Scientists, Security, and Privacy teams.

Role requires 5+ years in data/platform engineering and 2+ years managing engineers. In-office 3x per week in Buenos Aires, with hybrid collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data/platform engineering, SRE, or related fields.
• 2+ years of direct people-management experience.
• Proven track record of reliable delivery and ownership.
• Experience building and operating data platforms at scale.
• Strong collaboration across data, ML/AI, product, security.

Responsibilities

• Own the Platform Roadmap and outcomes with measurable ROI.
• Lead observability and monitoring for data pipelines.
• Deliver cost visibility with FinOps practices.
• Scale batch and streaming systems for growth.
• Build self-service tooling and CI/CD standards.
• Establish on-call practices and incident response.
• Hire, coach and develop engineers on the team.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
