GoFundMe seeks a Staff Software Engineer to join the Payments organization on the Payouts team, building scalable payments infrastructure for billions in transactions. You’ll own ledgering, money movement, and disbursement decisions, while mentoring engineers and driving end-to-end payout solutions from ideation to launch.

This hybrid role welcomes seasoned leaders who design for scale, partner with product and external teams, and push architecture forward. Location: Buenos Aires area preferred.

Formación

• Seasoned engineer with deep expertise in payment systems and a track record of building and shipping features.
• Experience architecting services and systems for future scaling.
• Experience leading projects from conception to completion and balancing technical trade-offs with business needs.
• Strong experience diagnosing performance problems with application performance monitoring tools.

Responsabilidades

• Refine and execute multi-year payments strategy to grow giving and bring in-house payments capabilities.
• Design and implement end-to-end product lifecycle for payout solutions from ideation to launch.
• Collaborate with engineers, product management, designers, and external partners on next-gen payments infrastructure.
• Own technical decisions across ledgering, money movement, and disbursement to minimize future change costs.
• Mentor engineers through chat, code reviews, and pair programming; advocate for codebase improvements.
• Lead projects from conception to completion, communicating progress and challenges to stakeholders.
