GoFundMe is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Payments organization on the Payouts team, to build and scale payout infrastructure capable of handling billions in transactions. You will own ledgering, money movement, and disbursement decisions while mentoring engineers and driving end-to-end product lifecycle.

This hybrid role is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and requires 8+ years in payments systems with a proven ability to design scalable services and lead complex projects.

Formación

• Seasoned engineer with deep payments systems expertise and track record delivering features.
• Experience architecting scalable services and systems for future use cases.
• Ability to lead projects from conception to delivery while balancing technical and business needs.
• Strong experience with performance monitoring and log analytics tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Refine and execute multi-year payments strategy to grow giving and bring core payments in-house.
• Design and implement end-to-end payout solutions from ideation to deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, design and external partners to build next-generation payments infrastructure.
• Make critical technical decisions across ledgering, money movement, and disbursement, balancing trade-offs.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and leadership to improve the codebase.
• Lead projects from conception to completion with clear stakeholder communication.
