Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions. The role weighs managed tooling against custom builds and mentors the team on engineering standards.

You will review Claude Code workflows and guide SDLC governance while reporting to leadership. The ideal candidate has 6+ years with AWS, Terraform, and data engineering experience, with strong mentoring and communication skills for a part-time advisory

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on AWS expertise (ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS Postgres, S3, SageMaker).
• Terraform IaC fluency and infrastructure-as-code discipline.
• Proven track record auditing/designing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Deep data engineering background for ETL/ingestion architecture.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows, e.g., Claude Code, cost governance.
• Part-time advisory capacity with strong mentoring and communication.

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live apps and SageMaker-based MLOps.
• Review CI/CD lifecycle; advise on SDLC governance and environment separation.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for quality and cost control.
• Provide early technical opinions on ETL/integration architecture.
• Mentor infrastructure build team and drive AWS/DevOps practices.
• Define recommendations and direction from audit findings to leadership.
• Report findings and readiness to leadership.
