Job summary

Front Door Defense is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on marketing data to join a remote team serving education and nonprofit clients. You will own ingestion pipelines from ad platforms and CRM systems into a single BigQuery warehouse, and you’ll build modular dbt/Dataform transformations for reliable analytics.

You’ll design scalable schemas, optimize costs, and enable Looker Studio dashboards and automated reports.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in marketing or agency settings.
Strong SQL with BigQuery experience in transformation and modeling.
Experience configuring data streams and ETL pipelines (Adverity or similar).
Proficiency with dbt or Dataform and modular pipelines, version-controlled.
Python for custom API connections and automation.
Experience with CRM data flows (Salesforce, HubSpot, Slate).
Understanding of ROAS, CPA, CAC metrics and paid platform schemas.

Responsibilities

Own data ingestion and pipeline architecture from paid media and CRM to warehouse.
Build and maintain reliable CRM data connections into the warehouse.
Design and optimize Google BigQuery schemas, partitions, and storage.
Create SQL transformations with dbt/Dataform for multi-client data.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines and enforce data segregation across clients.
Develop clean data views for Looker Studio dashboards and automated reports.
Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies across layers.
