EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Python Developer to join our team in Argentina. You will own backend services across a cloud-native stack, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive quality through design, testing, and reviews.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant experience, 1+ year in leadership, and strong Python, FastAPI, and Azure DevOps skills, with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of experience leading development teams.
• Strong understanding of SOLID and clean architecture.
• Proven track record building cloud-based, microservice-oriented backends.
• Proficient in Python backend with FastAPI and Asyncio; Poetry for dependency management.
• Experience with Angular front-ends and modern tooling (RxJS, NgRx, Nx).
• Experience with Node.js and cloud platforms, especially Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and English proficiency (B2+).

Responsabilidades

• Design and build backend services to meet performance and reliability targets.
• Contribute to architectural discussions shaping system direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code across services.
• Conduct code reviews to uphold quality standards.
• Diagnose and fix performance and stability issues.
• Support deployment and ongoing health of cloud-based apps.
• Improve engineering practices, tooling, and workflows.
• Participate in planning to scope and estimate initiatives.
• Mentor and guide other engineers throughout the lifecycle.
