EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team, working across the full technology stack to build scalable backend services for cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust software solutions and help drive architectural decisions across systems.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of SOLID and clean architecture.
• Experience building cloud-based, microservice-oriented backend services.
• Strong Python backend experience, including FastAPI and asyncio.
• Experience designing and developing Angular single-page applications.
• Experience with RxJS, NgRx, and Nx.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Cloud experience with Azure (AWS a plus).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps or ArgoCD a plus.
• Go (Golang) knowledge a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills.

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to become part of our team. Responsibilities

• Build and architect backend services that meet established standards for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Take part in architectural discussions that influence the future direction of our systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code across the services you build
• Perform code reviews for teammates to help maintain consistent quality and standards
• Investigate and resolve complex issues affecting application performance and stability
• Support the successful deployment and continued operational health of cloud-based applications
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in engineering practices, tooling, and workflows
• Participate in planning sessions to define scope and estimate effort for future initiatives
• Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers throughout the development process

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Solid understanding of software development principles, including SOLID and clean architecture
• Demonstrated experience building cloud-based, microservice-oriented backend services
• Strong Python backend experience, including core Python, dependency management with Poetry, the FastAPI framework, and async programming with Asyncio
• Experience designing and developing Angular single-page web applications
• Experience with RxJS, NgRx, and Nx
• Experience working with Node.js
• Cloud experience with Azure
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability across distributed systems
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Proficiency with Docker
• Knowledge of cloud fundamentals, preferably Azure, with AWS considered a plus
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, with GitOps or ArgoCD considered a plus
• Experience with Go (Golang) considered a plus
• Good communication skills
• Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
