Darwoft, a Latin American tech company, is hiring an AI Engineer (Agentic Systems / LLMs) for a fast-growing fintech conversational AI project. This remote role focuses on designing, building, and scaling autonomous AI agents in production to handle complex workflows.

You will work with OpenAI SDK, LangChain, and vector databases, contributing to multi-agent architectures and RAG pipelines while collaborating with a global team. This is a fully remote, contractor position with USD payment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years delivering AI/Generative AI in production.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with LLMs and agentic frameworks (OpenAI SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI).
• Experience with vector databases and RAG-based architectures.
• Strong fundamentals: Git, testing, CI/CD.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable tech solutions.
• Strong English communication in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy autonomous AI agents using Python and modern agentic frameworks.
• Develop LLM-based systems enabling reasoning, planning, and execution across multi-step workflows.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines using vector databases.
• Integrate AI agents with internal services, APIs, and production systems with teams.
• Build evaluation, monitoring, and optimization pipelines for LLM-powered systems.
• Apply advanced prompt engineering and tool/function calling to enhance agents.
• Stay current with Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic architectures; apply best practices.
