MOVE Your Business is seeking a dependable Bookkeeper to support Jasmine Daya & Co., a Toronto-based law firm, with trust accounting and Canadian payroll. The role emphasizes accuracy, discretion, and strong QuickBooks expertise in a fast-paced, cross-border setting.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience in a Canadian or U.S. law firm.
• Hands-on experience with law firm trust accounting, including trust ledgers reconciliations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (preferably QuickBooks Online).
• Experience with Canadian payroll, including deductions and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general and trust accounting records for client matters.
• Reconcile trust ledgers and monitor authority and documentation of transactions.
• Prepare records for audits and coordinate with lawyers and accountants.
• Ensure separation of client trust funds from operating funds.
• Process payroll and payroll reporting requirements.
• Maintain payroll records and assist with remittances and year-end filings.
