Sur is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to own a data and reporting ecosystem built on Google Cloud and Tableau. You will be the primary operator of the GCP data environment and the internal Tableau platform, delivering accurate data to key leaders across Operations, Finance, People & Talent, and Sales.

The role blends data engineering and BI (roughly 60% backend data infrastructure and 40% reporting).

Formación

• 5+ years in BI, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a hybrid of both.
• Hands-on GCP experience: BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, and Cloud Storage.
• Strong Python development experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines; write Python regularly.
• Advanced SQL skills; experience querying cloud data warehouses and data quality issues.
• Tableau proficiency: built dashboards from scratch.
• Experience maintaining production reporting environments and end-to-end pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows.
• Strong ability to diagnose data problems across pipeline, dashboard, and source layers.
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or similar).

Responsabilidades

• Own the GCP data environment and Tableau portfolio across teams.
• Develop and maintain Python ETL pipelines from Toggl, Rippling, Xero, Salesforce, and more.
• Extend pipelines to bring new data sources online for enhanced reporting.
• Automate recurring data workflows and replace scripts with reliable GCP functions.
• Build and manage dashboards for executives, directors, and operations.
• Diagnose data issues and route to pipeline, dashboard, or source fixes.
• Maintain naming conventions, schema docs, and BigQuery datasets.
• Be first point of contact when dashboards or pipelines fail.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, People & Talent, Sales, and IT to translate needs into data solutions.
