EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to spearhead a GCP-based data platform initiative. You will guide a team of data engineers, shape scalable pipelines, and establish best practices across the analytics stack.

Responsibilities include owning architecture, mentoring engineers, and partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data solutions. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required for cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

• 5+ years in data engineering.
• Minimum 1 year leading teams and owning end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives.
• Deep understanding of GCP-based data platform architecture and design patterns.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong data engineering fundamentals (ETL/ELT, data modeling).
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions.
• Portuguese fluency with English at B2+ level for collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of data pipelines on GCP.
• Define standards and optimize data models and queries in BigQuery.
• Oversee reporting and analytics layers powered by Looker or similar BI tooling.
• Own the technical direction and evolution of the GCP Data Platform.
• Establish data governance, data quality, lineage, and documentation across pipelines.
