Bluelightconsulting is seeking a seasoned backend developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to translate product requirements into scalable services and own features from concept to release.

The role emphasizes testing, code quality, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on distributed systems, concurrency, and reliability in a remote, collaborative environment.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development with a backend focus.
• Strong proficiency with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Experience with OTP, concurrent/distributed systems, and FP principles.
• Designing/building RESTful APIs (and GraphQL) and using PostgreSQL (Ecto).
• Excellent communication and collaborative/agile mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements.
• Own features end-to-end from conception to release, including specs and code.
• Write unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews for quality.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Stay current with Elixir ecosystem and best practices to drive innovation.
