Bluelight is a forward-thinking software consultancy seeking a backend engineer with strong Elixir and Phoenix experience. You will design and maintain high-performance APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and own features from conception through release.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of backend development, OTP and distributed systems knowledge, and a passion for scalable, reliable software. Remote-friendly, with ongoing learning opportunities and performance-based rewards.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with backend focus.
• Proficient with Elixir and Phoenix framework.
• Experience with OTP and distributed systems; solid functional programming knowledge.
• Design and build RESTful APIs (and GraphQL) and work with PostgreSQL (Ecto).
• Strong product sense and passion for building reliable, scalable systems.
• Excellent communication and collaborative, agile-team mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Build & Innovate: Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Collaborate: Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable services.
• Own Features: From concept to launch, craft specs, write clean code, and manage releases.
• Ensure Quality: Write unit/integration tests; participate in code reviews to uphold quality.
• Optimize:Identify bottlenecks; fix bugs; improve performance and fault tolerance.
• Stay Current: Keep up with Elixir ecosystem trends and best practices.
