Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Sales Advisor for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin. You will own the full commercial cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation, while engaging with operators and drilling contractors to demonstrate service value.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of directional drilling and data interpretation, with a focus on delivering differentiated commercial outcomes in a complex oil field environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, or BHA optimization.
• Strong understanding of wellbore data interpretation and drilling KPIs.
• Experience with operators in shale basins, preferably Vaca Muerta.
• Ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence engineering/procurement stakeholders.
• Excellent communication to translate technical value into commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Managing the full sales cycle: prospecting, scoping, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.
• Build relationships with key operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, Capex, and drilling contractors.
• Delivering technical presentations, performance reviews, and post-well analyses to show service value.
• Collaborating with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality and satisfaction.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, and RSS.
• Support tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals to secure long-term business.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and customer intelligence in CRM.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE requirements and company standards.
