AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases. You will work closely with engineering teams in a hands-on role focused on database administration, performance, security, and reliability—not Data Engineering.

Required 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, plus PowerShell or Python, Terraform, Confluent Kafka, AWS RDS and Aurora, and upper-intermediate English.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• AWS, particularly RDS and Aurora.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• IaC with Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with high-availability production systems and disaster recovery.
• Upper-intermediate English.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for and carry out disaster recovery, ensuring zero data loss in case of disaster.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose difficult issues.
• Work closely with engineers on system design, performance tuning and technical support.
• Operate hands-on in a technical environment, administering data systems that support the website.
• Stay composed under pressure and navigate stressful situations.
