Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to own the reliability and orchestration of an enterprise data platform in a regulated environment.

You will drive AWS/EKS operations, Argo Workflows, and data ingestion pipelines while leading platform engineering priorities and ensuring security and compliance. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with security, governance, analytics, IT, and stakeholders, and coordinate on-call rotations and incident response within the LatAm

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Cloud/Platform Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Hands-on with AWS production environments including security, networking, access management, monitoring, capacity planning and troubleshooting.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS: workload deployment, troubleshooting, observability, scaling and upgrades.
• Hands-on experience with Argo Workflows or similar orchestration for production data workloads.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform) and CI/CD, release automation and rollback practices.
• Experience designing and operating observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident routing for distributed production platforms.
• Ability to lead major incidents and cross-functional troubleshooting across infrastructure, apps, data pipelines, and analytics.
• Experience operating production platforms with SLAs, runbooks, change controls and on-call processes.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, S3 data lakes, SQL, dbt, Fivetran or HVR, and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash for automation.
• Ability to translate needs into technical requirements and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Mentoring engineers and improving engineering practices across distributed teams.
• Strong written and spoken English; able to work within LatAm service window (9:00–18:00 ET).
• Experience working in healthcare/regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end reliability of the managed Data Platform on AWS, EKS, Snowflake, S3, Fivetran and Tableau deps.
• Lead the transition to managed services, including discovery, risk mapping, knowledge transfer, and readiness validation.
• Define cloud architecture principles, IaC standards, CI/CD and release practices, and observability patterns.
• Provide technical leadership for AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Argo Workflows, deployment automation, and access management.
• Translate business and security needs into actionable technical plans and backlogs.
• Guide cross-platform decisions involving Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, ingestion pipelines, and analytics dependencies.
• Lead complex cross-platform troubleshooting and L3 escalation across infra, ingestion, and analytics.
• Direct incident response, including impact assessment, communication, recovery, and post-incident reviews.
• Ensure changes include technical review, dependency analysis, validation, rollback planning, and traceability.
• Define and monitor reliability metrics like availability, data freshness, and MTTR.
• Drive automation, observability, auto-remediation, platform resilience and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Security, Governance, Analytics, IT to ensure least-privilege access and auditability.
• Review designs and ensure secure, scalable, and supportable solutions in managed-service model.
• Mentor engineers, delegate ownership, and build cross-team capability.
• Maintain alignment across LatAm and India coverage windows and handoffs.
• Participate in senior escalation and on-call during off hours.
