Magi-K is seeking Chuukese - English OVER-THE-PHONE INTERPRETERS to provide clear interpretation between languages, assisting non-English speakers in various activities.

This freelance, 100% remote role offers immediate onboarding, flexible scheduling, and monthly payments in USD. Applicants should have native Chuukese with strong English, good internet, and headset; prior medical or legal terminology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Native Chuukese with strong English proficiency (B2/C1).
• Experience in interpretation; medical and legal terminology knowledge a plus.
• Stable internet connection (Wi‑Fi not allowed) with 4 Mbps speed.
• Windows 10 or newer PC with suitable processor; headset required.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Responsabilités

Your role

Your job as an Over-the-Phone interpreter involves providing clear and accurate interpretation between languages, assisting non-English speakers in various activities.

Required qualifications (Must have):

• Native in Chuukese - Level English: B2/C1 level
• We consider as a plus: Experience in the interpretation and good knowledge of medical / legal terminology
• Computer : Windows 10 or newer, with Pentium, or I3 processor. Minimum: Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz / Recommended: i5 / i7 2.4 GHz and above.
• Stable and fast internet connection (Wi-Fi is not allowed). Internet speed of 4Mbps Download/Upload.

• Willingness to learn and grow both professionally and personally.

Your responsibilities:

• Providing over the phone interpretation services.
• Imparting thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone of speakers from source language into target language.
• Complying with applicable ethics and standards
• Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
