AgileEngine in Rosario, Argentina is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build and maintain scalable systems using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, GraphQL, and AWS. This role covers operations from tooling to architecture, with a focus on compliant, cost-efficient, observable solutions.

You will work with MongoDB Atlas and Aurora MySQL on AWS, collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and designers to deliver robust cloud-native services at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency with MongoDB Atlas and Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with Spring Boot and GraphQL (Netflix DGS).

Responsibilities

• Take on lower-priority engineering work including compliance, maintenance, cost-savings, observability, and tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and validate solutions with data and experiments.
• Participate in code and design reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Work with a Product Manager and fellow engineers on mid-level design, coding, testing, and documentation.
