AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems for a product-led engineering team. This role focuses on Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB Atlas, and Aurora MySQL on AWS.

You will work on compliance, cost-savings, observability, and operational tooling while collaborating with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers to deliver reliable, high-performance software.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency with MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency with Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance systems on a major cloud platform.

Responsabilidades

• Take on lower-priority engineering work including compliance, maintenance, cost-savings, observability, and tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design with data-driven validation.
• Participate in code and design reviews to uphold high engineering standards.
• Collaborate across software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Partner with a Product Manager and fellow engineers to clarify requirements and perform mid-level design with focus on coding, testing, and documentation.
