Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both automation and manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. You will build robust regression suites, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high-quality releases across platforms.

Key requirements include 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on manual testing, and experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, and Appium. Remote work option with AI QA tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure proper behavior.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure quality throughout SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
