Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. You will build and maintain regression suites, integrate tests into CI/CD, and work with developers on testability and acceptance criteria.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in QA automation, hands‑on testing, and experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO. Remote-friendly roles offer flexible scheduling and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for BDD.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimation of effort for accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
