Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps, while performing manual testing to validate complex functionality. You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and help maintain fast, reliable test suites.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, managing test data, collaborating with developers and product teams on testability, and contributing to test strategy across releases. Remote-friendly setup and AI-assisted QA are part of the role.

Qualifications

3+ years in software quality assurance.
3+ years in automated testing.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Mindset focused on holistic quality.
Experience with Gherkin for BDD.
Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bugs.
Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or process.
Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and release cycles.
Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for accurate planning.
Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories and run scripts.
Participate in On-Call rotation.
