Job summary

Tether seeks an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation while contributing to manual testing efforts. You will build and maintain automated test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and work with developers to improve testability.

The role supports remote work globally, with opportunities across platforms. Applicants should have 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on testing, and experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, and mobile testing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience with Gherkin for BDD.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
